Our children don’t need any encouragement to shout, but Disney is giving it to them anyway, with a brand new iPhone and iPad app called Disney Shout!.

It’s a collection of three mini-games starring familiar Disney characters, all of which are designed to get children hollering along with the action.

“Shout! will have you naming Disney characters, famous scenes, guessing your family and friends’ favourites, and matching secret pictures,” explains its App Store listing.

There are three games to play: Shout! involves guessing the word on a (virtual) card based on clues given by a friend; Favourites! involves guessing the friend’s answers to various Disney questions; and Spot! gets one child to choose a spot in a picture, then challenges their friend to guess where they tapped.

Along the way, they’ll earn photo and video achievements. Note: not all the Disney stuff is available when you first buy the app. After paying 79p for the initial download, you’ll get a “pack” of Mickey and Friends content to start you off.

Other packs are sold as in-app purchases, with the App Store listing mentioning Frozen, Big Hero 6, Tangled, Cinderella, Beauty & the Beast, The Lion King, Wreck it Ralph, and Winnie the Pooh. Plenty to explore, then.
