Earlier this year, we wrote about a charming app called Fiete, which got children to help a cartoon sailor with his daily tasks. Now it’s got a sequel: Fiete Match.
This time round, it’s a matching-pairs memory game, with kids playing against the same sailor, who’ll apparently show emotions in response to the game just like a human player.
(If our children are any guide, this will involve sweeping the cards off the table in a huff, storming off to his bedroom, then stomping back downstairs to demand a biscuit…)
There are various card sets to play with, including marine animals, nautical flags, vehicles and a special world tour. There are also some simple maths cards, where children are given sums using the numbers 1 to 10 to solve.
Fiete Match costs £1.99 / $2.99 for iPhone and iPad on Apple’s App Store.
