We like The Lonely Beast, star of Chris Judge’s children’s book of the same name. Now he’s also got his own numbers app called The Lonely Beast 123.
Released for iPhone and iPad this month, it takes kids on a journey around the Beast’s house, counting all manner of objects from rubber ducks and fried eggs to flowers and shooting stars.
Author Chris provides the voiceover, with lots of interactive fun to be had alongside the basic counting. The numbers go up to 12, and the illustration style will be instantly familiar to anyone who’s read the book.
The Lonely Beast 123 costs £0.69 for iPhone and iPad from Apple’s App Store, where it joins existing alphabetical app The Lonely Beast ABC – currently free to download as a promotion for the newer app.
And while we’re at it, you may want to check out the Me Books digital storybooks app, which has the follow-up The Brave Beast story available as a download, complete with voice narration from comedian and director Adam Buxton.
