Earlier this year, we wrote about a pair of fun activity apps from book publisher Bloomsbury, one focused on pirates and the other on princesses. Now they’ve been joined by a third.

It’s called Bloomsbury Farm Activity, and it was released for iPad this week. It’s a similar mix of puzzles, creativity and mini-games, this time all based around rural life.

“Join the animals in this fun farm activity adventure! Match up the sheep, shake the apples off the trees, create your own amazing farm stories and colourful sticker scenes and find out what happens when you move the ducks around the pond,” explains its App Store listing.

(We’re hoping the ducks don’t get the hump.)

As you’d expect, the app is very colourful, but also easy to navigate: children will have no problems finding their way around the various activities. Judging by our experience with the Pirate and Princess apps, kids will also quickly decide on their favourite bits and play with them lots – even if this changes over time.
