Adventure Time! C’mon, grab your friends… Both of our sons (six and four years old) are still too young for Adventure Time, really, but they both love it. As do we.

We enjoyed the Ski Safari: Adventure Time game last December, but now it’s been followed up by another game starring Finn, Jake and their friends: Card Wars - Adventure Time.

It’s inspired by the Card Wars episode of the popular cartoon – a “super complicated” card game played by the main characters, which has now been turned into an actual (digital) cards game for iPhone and iPad.

“Command an army of awesome warriors, including Husker Knights, Cool Dog, the Immortal Maize Walker, and even the Pig to destroy your opponent’s forces! Place towers and cast spells to unleash ultimo attacks,” explains its App Store listing.

We’ll level with you: this certainly isn’t a game for children at the younger end of Adventure Time’s audience – not without careful adult supervision, anyway, since it uses in-app purchases for virtual gems as part of the gameplay.

All the main characters feature, with the option to play as Finn, Jake, BMO, Princess Bubblegum, Marceline, Flame Princess and others. There’s a lot of depth to it, too: the game is about building a deck of virtual cards – creatures, spells and towers – to beat opponents.
