Disney brings Cars, Finding Nemo and more to Me Comics

Earlier this week, we wrote about a new children’s app called Me Comics: a store and reader for digital comics including Transformers Prime, My Little Pony and The Beano.

Now it’s added some more famous characters to the mix: Finding Nemo, Cars, Toy Story and Planes. Yes, Disney has made comics based on some of its biggest films available within Me Comics.

They cost £2.99 each as in-app purchases within the Me Comics store. After stumbling on them this morning, we contacted developer Made in Me to find out more.

They confirmed that Disney comics have launched in the Me Comics app, and also that Disney books are available in Me Books, the company’s existing app that focuses on picture books rather than comics.

We checked, and it’s true: at the time of writing, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Sophia Makes A Friend and Tangled: A Dazzling Day are available within that app, costing £2.99 each.

Me Comics is a free download for iPhone and iPad from Apple’s App Store, and a free download for Android from the Google Play store. Me Books is also a free download for iPhone and iPad, and a free download for Android.
