As surreal-but-marvellous children’s TV shows go, Yo Gabba Gabba! takes some beating. We’re delighted that there’s a brand new app based on it, then.

Released for iPhone and iPad by developer Cupcake Digital, it stars several characters from the series: Brobee, Muno, Foofa and Toodee.

The challenge for children is to ensure the four cutesy monsters get their dinner, baths and bedtime preparation – a not-so-stealthy way of teaching your kids about their own bedtime routine.

Each character gets their own activity, with digital colouring, a rubber duck and a music video – Babies – thrown in for good measure.

Like the show, it’s super-bright and colourful, while the app looks accessible even for very young children. It joins other bedtime-focused apps for iOS: previous favourites here include Nighty Night! and Goodnight Mo.
