We’ve enjoyed the two nautical-themed Fiete apps so far – Fiete and Fiete Match. Now they’ve been joined by a third: Fiete Christmas. As you can tell, the theme is festive. It’s an advent calendar app featuring the sailor from the previous apps.

“With the help of this lovely and very atmospheric app children spend the Advent season with sailor Fiete visiting him in his apartment every day. And every day there is a nice little surprise,” explains its app store listing.

That means checking in every day, starting on 1 December, to get a new interactive treat: unwrapping parcels, decorating the apartment, lighting candles, playing with toy blocks and a toy car… Developer Ahoiii promises a few surprises too.

It looks rather lovely. Fiete Christmas is a free download for iPhone and iPad on Apple’s App Store, and a free download for Android on the Google Play store, with no in-app purchases.
